Calling all Sugar Cookie lovers!!!!! You seriously have never had a more delicious cookie until you have had these..... your friends and relatives will rave about them and wonder what you did to make them taste extra delicious!
What you will need:
2 1/2 cups GF 1:1 flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup DF butter (softened)
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup @javamelts French vanilla sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
In glass bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.
In electric mixer, blend butter and sugars until creamy. Be sure to scrape down the edges if needed. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla, then mix again on low.
Pour in half of the flour mixture, mix on low. Once combined add the other half and mix on low until combined well.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, place dough 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-9 minutes or until the center of the cookie is no longer wet.
Frosting:
3/4 cup DF butter softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
1/8 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
Whip butter 3-4 minutes until fluffy. Then add vanilla, almond extract, and salt. On medium-low speed speed add powdered sugar 1/2 cup at a time. Mix high for 2-3 mins. Add sprinkles before frosting dries.
