When I met my husband in high school he would always rave about his mom’s cheesecake. Well, I am validating the fact that my Mother-In-Law does make award winning cheesecake and I absolutely have to share her recipe. You can thank me now because it’s guaranteed to taste incredible and please anyone!
CAROLE’S NEW YORK CHEESECAKE
2- 8oz cream cheese
1- 16oz sour cream
3 eggs
1 cup Javamelts Caramel or French Vanilla sugar *those are house favorites but any of them are delicious
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
graham cracker crust (use recipe on box but I substitute regular sugar for any of Javamelts Flavored Sugar)
Line 10” spring pan with graham cracker crust and refrigerate for about 15 minutes. Beat cream cheese at high speed until smooth.
Add sugar, slowly, beating constantly.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add sour cream and vanilla.
Put into COLD oven. Then set temperature to 375. Bake for 30 minutes. Shut off oven. Do not open oven. Leave cake in oven for at least 2 hours. Cool. Refrigerate.
Enjoy!!
**You can do a variation of the above - sometimes we do only a flavored cheesecake with a regular bottom.... sometimes we only flavored the bottom and make the top plain and sometimes we use the Javamelts to flavor both. It's entirely up to you.
