Blondes have more fun…. Or is it Blondies?

This recipe has the perfect combination of bananas and hazelnut flavor and everyone will be talking about it once they’ve had it!

Ingredients for Blondies:

1 Mashed Banana

1/2 C. Melted Butter

1/2 C. Brown Sugar

1/4 C.  Hazelnut Sugar

1 Egg

1 tsp. Vanilla

1/4 tsp. Salt

1 C. Flour

———

Ingredients for Frosting:

1/4 C. Butter (room temp)

4 oz. Cream Cheese (room temp)

3/4 C. Hazelnut Sugar

3 tsp. Cornstarch (combined with the hazelnut sugar to create the powdered sugar needed - pulse in a blender until powder forms)

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 and line an 8x8 pan with parchment or cooking spray.
  • Mash banana in a medium bowl. Add melted butter and both sugars and mix well. Add egg and vanilla and mix again, followed by the salt and flour.
  • Smooth batter into pan and bake for 22-27 minutes, or until it’s light golden brown along the outside rim. Set aside to cool.
  • Blend 3/4 cup of hazelnut sugar with 3 tsp of cornstarch in a blender or food processor for about a minute to make a powdered sugar.
  • Beat together butter and cream cheese until smooth, add the powered sugar you just made and beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Frost the top of the blondies.
