Calling all Caramel lovers! This recipe is amazing for any dessert topping. Whether you drizzle it over your favorite specialty coffee, whipped cream, a bowl of ice cream, a pie and so much more, the flavor is undeniably amazing!
Recipe makes 2 ½ cups
1 ½ cups Hazelnut Javamelts
2 cups heavy cream, warmed
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon coarse Kosher salt
Place Hazelnut Javamelts in a small saucepan over medium heat. Gently stir the Javamelts as it begins to melt and caramelize. This will take about 10 minutes.While the Javamelts is melting and caramelizing, heat the heavy cream. Once the Javamelts sugar has turned a dark amber color, gently stir in the heavy cream, a little at a time.Add the butter and salt, and allow to melt completely.
Once the butter has melted, gently whisk the mixture until it is well combined. Remove from the heat, and let cool.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
