Anyone who knows me, knows that strawberries are one of my favorite fruits! This recipe certainly does not disappoint and is perfect for a light dessert or quick, refreshing snack. It looks great for company and kids love it because it's fun to make and immediately satisfying!
What you need:
6 large strawberries (they don't have to be super ripe either because we are blending them so use the less than pretty or ripe ones and save the others for eating as is or as a garnish)
Javamelts French Vanilla Sugar - 1/4 c (adjust to taste)
2 large, nice looking lemons - halved and then juice them and scoop out the inside and keep the rinds to hold the sorbet
Ice cubes for desired consistency
How to make:
Chop up strawberries and place them in the freezer for an hour or two
Once they are frozen enough, add juice from lemons and Javamelts French Vanilla Sugar into a blender and blend well
Depending on the consistency, you can add ice to make sure it's not watery but thick
Scoop into lemon rinds, garnish and serve immediately.
Enjoy!
*you can freeze any leftover and it will freeze more like an Italian ice which is so amazing too to eat
